How Novomur delivers your wall mural
Delivery format: numbered panels
Your made-to-measure wall mural is not delivered in one giant piece. It is cut into vertical strips called panels, which fit together side by side on your wall.
Each panel is about 50 cm wide by the height of your wall, plus a 10 cm trimming allowance. They are numbered in hanging order (1, 2, 3...) so you know exactly how to put them together.
Why panels rather than one piece?
Three reasons:
- Handling: a 4 m × 2,5 m sheet in one piece is unmanageable, for transport and for hanging
- Risk of damage: a single giant roll folds, creases and tears easily
- Hanging alone: you can hang one panel after another, calmly, without needing a team
It is the professional standard for made-to-measure wall murals.
Packaging: how it is protected
The protected roll
Your panels are rolled together on a rigid core (a hard cardboard tube), design facing inwards to avoid rubbing.
The roll is then packed in multilayer protection:
- Waterproof plastic film (anti-moisture)
- Outer protective foam
- Long rigid box or cardboard tube
This packaging is designed to prevent creases, transport marks and moisture damage during the journey.
Why not flat packaging?
Flat packaging (like a standard parcel) is not suitable for wall murals:
- There would be permanent creases where it is folded
- The design could be damaged by the slightest knock
- Ambient humidity could affect the print
The roll protects the integrity of the print better than flat packaging.

What if I’m in a hurry?
Made to measure does not allow the delivery time to be shortened: every order goes through an individual printing step. For an urgent project, place your order 3 weeks before the planned hanging date.
On receipt: what to do
Step 1: check the condition of the parcel on delivery
On delivery, visually check the condition of the parcel:
- No visible knocks?
- No signs of moisture?
- No tears in the packaging?
If the parcel is visibly damaged, refuse the delivery or note reservations with the delivery driver. Then contact Novomur, attaching photos, within 48 hours if possible.
Step 2: open gently, keep the packaging
Open the parcel in a clean, dry, flat place. Keep all the packaging (film, foam, core) until you have checked the product. It is useful in case of an after-sales problem.
Step 3: unroll and let it rest
Once out of its packaging, let the roll rest, unrolled flat or loosely rolled, for 24 hours in the room where you will hang it. The material regains its natural flatness and acclimatises to the temperature and humidity of the room.
Step 4: check the panels
Count the panels, check the numbering, and take a quick look at the design (from a distance, as a whole). Everything should match what you ordered.
Special cases: damaged parcel or error
If the parcel arrives damaged
As seen above: refuse the delivery or note reservations with the delivery driver, contact Novomur with photos, within 48 hours if possible.
Items that are defective or damaged on delivery are reprinted and sent back at no charge. To prove the damage occurred before receipt, keep the packaging and photograph the product when unpacking, with the transport label visible.
If the product does not match your order
First check against your order confirmation email: is it the right design, the right dimensions, the right material? If so, contact Novomur (contact@novomur.com) with your order number.
The important rule: made to measure is neither taken back nor exchanged
Made-to-measure wall murals are neither taken back nor exchanged if you change your mind or make a mistake in the measurements (Article L221-28 (3) of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation)), unlike standard items; the legal guarantee of conformity still applies. This is set out in Novomur’s official policy. That is why:
- The AI visualisation is available in the configurator (see the result before buying)
- The 3 € sample is available (to check the material and the colours)
- You choose the crop yourself on the product page and check your dimensions before ordering
Three safety nets before you order. Once printed, the product is unique and cannot be resold.

How much does it cost?
The price is calculated per m², based on the exact dimensions you enter in the configurator: 29,90 €/m² for smooth non-woven, 34,90 €/m² for textured non-woven, 39,90 €/m² for self-adhesive non-woven. The total amount is shown in the summary, before payment. Tracked delivery, free across the EU, within 7–15 working days.
The three finishes (all printed on matt non-woven):
- Smooth non-woven (29,90 €/m²): a faithful rendering of the artwork, pasted hanging. The standard option.
- Textured non-woven (34,90 €/m²): a slight relief that gives the pattern some texture.
- Self-adhesive non-woven (39,90 €/m²): paste-free hanging, repositionable while you hang it, on a smooth, clean, dry wall. An option for tenants: removal depends on the condition of the wall.
Before ordering, the 30 × 20 cm sample for 3 € is available in all three finishes: a made-to-measure wall mural cannot be returned or exchanged because you have changed your mind or made an error in the measurements, in line with Article L221-28 (3) of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation); the statutory guarantee of conformity still applies.
